After-school programs are structured programs that provide care, supervision, and enrichment activities for school-aged children during the hours immediately following the end of the school day. These programs are designed to offer a safe, supportive environment where children can engage in various activities while their parents or guardians are still at work or otherwise occupied.
After-school programs aim to provide a balanced mix of learning, recreation, and social interaction, offering a valuable extension to the traditional school day.
